Hi @mscoffee1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Printer Status and Connections

  • Ensure the printer is turned on.
  • Check for error messages or blinking lights on the printer's control panel.
  • Ensure the printer is connected to your computer or network (Wi-Fi or wired).
  • Verify that the USB or network cable is properly connected.
  • Check that paper is loaded in the input tray.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure the cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink.

Perform Printer Maintenance

  • Turn off the printer and computer.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility to automatically diagnose and resolve printing issues.

Verify Printer Settings

  • Open Devices and Printers on your computer.
  • Right-click the HP OfficeJet 4650 and select Set as Default Printer.

Clear Print Queue

  • Open Devices and Printers on your computer.
  • Right-click the HP OfficeJet 4650 and select See what's printing.
  • Right-click inside the print queue window and select Cancel all documents.

Update/Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP support website to download and install the latest drivers for HP OfficeJet 4650: HP OfficeJet 4650 Drivers
  • Remove the printer from Devices and Printers.
  • Disconnect the printer from the computer.
  • Reinstall the printer drivers and reconnect the printer.

Print a Test Page

  • Open the printer’s control panel.
  • Navigate to Tools and select Print Quality Report or Print Test Page.
  • If the test page prints correctly, the issue may be related to the print settings or the document you are trying to print.

I hope this helps.
