I have an office jet pro 9020 series. One day, the printer was working fine printing via wifi. I just need to connect the printer to my computer to print a document. When I connected the printer to my computer using a usb cable, a spark happened, and both my computer and printer shut down immediately. I immediately unplug my printer and computer. Later, I was able to restart my computer, but my printer stopped working. I contacted All State ins to file a claim through square trade, they asked me do so much step during filing a claim process, and they keep saying it was a power surge from my outlet, and denied my claim. I told them that it was not a power surge issue, the accident happened during normal use, printing purpose.
Can someone in this group, expert, or electrical worker please give me a second opinion about the power surge thing? It is the main reason All State Ins trying to denied my claim.  I am trying to fight to get it covered.
