HP ENVY 4522 All-in-One Printer
macOS 15.0 Sequoia

Hello,

I am having difficulties printing on my HP printer from my son's macbook. We restarted everything, updated the laptop, but nothing works.

I have a Dell and I have no issues printing. We operate on the 6G Wifi. Is there something we can do to fix this issue?

Thank you,

Hi @nandeenee24

While I don´t know the technical specification of your Wifi router network, let me tell you that this issue usually happens when the router is not providing a 2.4G network connection.

Checking on printer specifications Envy 4522, shows the next:

  •  Envy 4522 wireless operations are compatible with 2.4 GHz routers only.

So, you may need to contact your Internet provider for a Wireless setup to enable 2.4G network and then connecting the printer to that network.

For alternative if you do not print too much pages from your Mac, maybe using a USB cable to connect your printer to Macbook could save the day.

This is a limitation with some older printers that are not enabled to operate on modern Wifi routers.
