Product: Hp Lasjet 479
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I find the HP Smart app to be one of the worst written apps I've encountered.  I need to install the printer and get the use of the printer/scanner directly from my android and windows pc but I do NOT want HP Smart or any other app on the computer.

The android you may have no choice, but on your Windows PC, go to support.hp.com and download the basic drivers and the universal scan driver.
