I have been trying to set up my new hp smart tank 7600 series for two days.

Following the Option 1: Guided setup with HP Smart. I got stuck with the message from the printer as follows:-

The Hp software is setting up your printer……….

It had been like this now for hours.

Thank you so much.

However, the moment I switch on the printer, the HP logo shows which cannot scroll and there appears to be a download and the same message shows up on the printer as follows:- The HP software is setting up your printer ………

Let me also add as follows:-

1. I haven’t filled the ink tank.

2. I’ve not installed printheads.

3. I started the Option 1: Guided setup with HP Smart using 123.hp.com from my MacBook Air M4. But got stuck with the info:- the HP software is setting up your printer.

My question now is how do I get this message off and tried the solution you sent vide YouTube.

Additionally, should I proceed to Option 2: Manual setup?

Thanks for providing more details about the printer 😊

 

Ok, if the printer is not showing options to scroll or select, then follow steps from the next video, that explains how to setup using an iPhone or Android phone.

 

Maybe you need to reset printer, simply turn it off, and then on

to start again the full Setup process.

You have been helpful.

I was able to follow the setup video that you sent and the inks and prints head were successfully installed.

I put in some A4 prints paper to conduct the print test alignment but the printer did not print.

It makes some sound as if it wanted to print but it didn’t.

What do you advise? Could it be that the A4 paper is old. It has been in the house for more than a year. It’s working in my old epson printer.

Or could it be the the loose electricity connection. I didn’t know how HP did it this time around but the electricity connection cable keeps falling out of the printer socket.
