Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, my HP Solution Center stopped working all of the sudden. It came up with a screen that had and F and i and that was it. I uninstalled the software and tried to reinstall. That failed with: HP Install error - Windows 8. I am running windows 10. Any ideas? I cannot use the printer without the software, and I am stuck

I tried the scan extended it says can't find imaging device.  Is that because of the uninstall I did? How do I get around the windows 8 error? I am running windows 10

I have been reading and trying as I go. I put the windows scan app in. It can not find my device. I tried the manuel method with the ip address, still not luck. I used the dashboard app to add it to my dashboard and it found it no problem. I can see the device in my printers section of settings. The printer is: HP Photosmart Premium C309g_m. Any ideas? Cause I tried everything I know.

This is beyond frustrating. I tried making the hp print the default, that did not work. I tried the print and scan doctor but it's solution is to update drives. It fails with a window 8 error, I am running windows 10. I read Hermanns solution but am not comfortable removing files in case of colleral damge then I'll be in even worse shape. Any HP folks out there with a solution? My printer is now a boat anchor until I can get something working. I want to get either Solution center or print and capture working.

I am experiencing this same issue and it is driving me crazy. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my printer and software multiple times. Would love some assistance with resolving this!

Okay - so in a very non-techy way this is what I discovered. Basically the technology for HP Solutions Center is out of date - as of today. I saw recommendations to download a couple of other programs - Scan Extend and HP Scan and Capture. Scan Extend DID NOT WORK for me. Scan and Capture DID WORK and seems to be a reasonable solution. I hope this helps you!
