Hi @MoSilverman,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
Yes, you can connect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus to your new Frontier Internet and Wi-Fi. Follow these sensory troubleshooting steps to ensure the printer is connected to your new network:
1. Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- Press the wireless icon on the printer's control panel (feeling the smooth touch as it lights up).
- Go to Settings > Restore Network Defaults. The printer will reset its network settings, making it ready for the new Wi-Fi connection.
- Wait for the wireless light to start blinking (you’ll notice a gentle pulsing or flashing light).
2. Reconnect to Your New Frontier Wi-Fi
- On the printer’s control panel, tap the Wireless Setup Wizard (feel the soft response of the touchscreen as you select it).
- Scroll through the list of networks and select your new Frontier Wi-Fi.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully on the touchscreen and confirm. You’ll feel a slight confirmation vibration or sound as the connection completes.
3. Verify the Printer's IP Address
- Once connected, go to Settings > Network Settings > View Wireless Details.
- Find and note down the printer's IP address (this will be helpful later). The screen should feel warm as the connection is established.
4. Update Printer Settings on Your Computer
- On your computer, open the "Devices and Printers" section (feel the cool texture of the mouse or keyboard as you navigate).
- Right-click on the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 and select Properties > Ports.
- Add a new TCP/IP port using the IP address you noted earlier. This helps your computer locate the printer on the new network.
5. Test Printing
- Try printing a test page from your computer. As you hear the printer start up, you’ll feel the excitement as the paper is drawn in and emerges printed.
These steps should connect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus to your new Frontier Wi-Fi and get you back to printing. Let me know if anything feels different.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
