Welcome to the HP Community --

  • What is the context?

For example,

  • Is the printer not detecting it is on the same network as the computer?
  • Is the printer on the same network but cannot be used as a Scan source (Scan to Computer from printer)?
  • Is there an error message you wish to share with us?
  • What are you trying to do that you are aware the printer is not connected to the network and / or the computer?
  • Have you tried restarting both printer and computer? (If not, please do that.)

============================================

  • How is the printer connected to the network?

For example,

  • Is the printer connected the network via Ethernet
  • Is the printer connected to the network through Wireless?
  • Is the printer connected to the network with a manual / static IP address assigned to Printer and the router controlling your network?

Examples - EWS - IPv4 Network configuration

Example “Alternate” EWS format (new printers)

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Network > Primary Ethernet > Check / Adjust Status and other tabs...

and

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Network > Wi-Fi > Section IP Config > IPv4

Example - EWS - Network > Wi-Fi

EWS_9125_Network_Wi-Fi_IP_Config_IPv4_1EWS_9125_Network_Wi-Fi_IP_Config_IPv4_1

============================================

  • Which Device (computer model) and Operating System are you using?

For example,

  • Supported Windows, Windows "S Mode", Linux, or MacOS ?
