When I run the update exe-file on my computer No printers show up. I have installed the printer as an IP-printer. When i usually do it that way on other printer models the printer shows up in an update window. But this new exe-fil works diffrent, an do not find the printers on my computer.
I have used the built in update utility on the printer but that do not find the latest update.

I would recommend you install HP Web Jetadmin software for managing printers in your company.

For remote firmware upgrade, you need to have a .rfu file and above Webjetadmin is cool managing software.

You can also upgrade firmware with the printers EWS and rfu file. More advanced printers support rfu. The consumer models and low-end printers you can update with .exe ( or .ful2 extracted from .exe  if you know the steps)

The ful2 is for upgrade local from front USB.

Make sure you have a proper driver installed on a computer, without the driver the update will not work.

You can use the 7zip to extract the .exe file, then copy the firmware file on a USB stick ( it's .ful2 extension 95MB ) insert USB stick with a ful2 file in a front USB printer port under the control panel and you will get a firmware update icon on the printer screen. You can now run a manual firmware update from the printer screen.

Thank you very much!
I will try to update through USB. But the way i explained through PC work for other printer models. I use the Universal print driver.  We have a lot of printers in my company in a big area, so it is easyist to do update through network.
Do you know if I can use the ful2-file through the lan in any way?
