I have previously used the device for printing and scanning without problems. Today I can print, but no longer scan. Also, I could not connect through WiFi.
Printer: HP ColorLaserJet MFP M182-M185, less than a year old.
OS: 10.0.19045.4529
Language: sv
Country/region: SE
App version: 154.1.1072.0
Connection: USB
Tried the following:
- Restarting computer and/or printer
- Repairing HP Smart or
- Uninstalling and reinstalling HP Smart
- Searched https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/ for new drivers, installed HPEasyStart_16_6_10.exe, and then HP Smart, but still no effect on scanning or WiFi.
Always get the following error message:

I face the exact same problem.
I have also upgraded the firmware to the latest version that was released in May 2024.
I can however scan with C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 series\bin\HPScan.exe, but it is far from being as good as HP Smart in terms of user experience. Back to the old days...
