HP DeskJet 2331 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

The HP Deskjet 2331 does not print when connected to my MacBook Air with Mac OS sequoia 15.5. Tried with HP's printer app which said there was no HP driver and said a generic driver was installed but the test print did not happen

Try these steps:

Check Compatibility:

  • Ensure your macOS version is compatible with the printer drivers.

Download Driver from Official HP Website:

Install the Driver:

  • Once the file is downloaded, open it to start the installation process.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Add the Printer Manually:

  • Open System Preferences on your Mac.
  • Navigate to Printers & Scanners.
  • Click the + button to add a new printer.
  • Select your HP Deskjet 2331 from the list of available printers.
  • If prompted, select the downloaded HP driver instead of the generic driver.

Test Print:

  • After adding the printer, try printing a test page to ensure it is working correctly.
