Hello,

To HP ENVY 5000 Printer series, as a first step, please restore the printer to the original network settings as follows:
  1. From the printer control panel, touch Wireless icon (wireless-status-light), and then Setup icon (setup-button).
  2. Touch Restore Network Settings.
    A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored. Touch Yes.
  3. Continue with the next steps.


Then, please 
restart the printer, computer, and router for solve this problem.

  1. Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
  2. Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
  3. Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
  4. Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 30 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the router.
     NOTE: Wait until internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
  7. Wait at least 3 minutes, then turn on the computer.
  8. Continue with the next steps.

 

Then, use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel display to set up wireless communication.

  1. From the printer control panel, touch Wireless icon (wireless-status-light).
  2.  Touch Setup icon (setup-button).
  3.  Touch Wireless Settings and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
  4. Touch your private wireless network (eg. Mans_2.4GHz), then enter your usual Wi-Fi password.
  5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
  6. Launch a installation the printer with the HP ENVY 5000 series Full Feature Software


For the special characters (&*$%@#) you would need to
 hold the pound sign or the asterisk sign (# or *) button for a moment. Then tap the # or to select the second option.

 

If with the previous solutions you cannot connect your printer, please connect it with a USB cable. Then please follow the HP link Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection to connect the printer to your private wireless network.
