Hello,
To HP ENVY 5000 Printer series, as a first step, please restore the printer to the original network settings as follows:
- From the printer control panel, touch Wireless icon (
), and then Setup icon (
).
- Touch Restore Network Settings.
A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored. Touch Yes. - Continue with the next steps.
Then, please restart the printer, computer, and router for solve this problem.
- Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
- Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
- Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the router.
NOTE: Wait until internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
- Wait at least 3 minutes, then turn on the computer.
- Continue with the next steps.
Then, use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel display to set up wireless communication.
- From the printer control panel, touch Wireless icon (
).
- Touch Setup icon (
- Touch Wireless Settings and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Touch your private wireless network (eg. Mans_2.4GHz), then enter your usual Wi-Fi password.
- Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
- Launch a installation the printer with the HP ENVY 5000 series Full Feature Software
For the special characters (&*$%@#) you would need to hold the pound sign or the asterisk sign (# or *) button for a moment. Then tap the # or * to select the second option.
If with the previous solutions you cannot connect your printer, please connect it with a USB cable. Then please follow the HP link Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection to connect the printer to your private wireless network.
