wireless desk jet 3634

i have a wireless printer, new mac book pro.  computer set up easily in last apt,  printer is "offline" and when i ran the wireless network test results, the message is that  the HP printer is unable to connect to the wireless router.

please help

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!

  • Printers would not connect to Public WiFi networks. If your apartment's WiFi is public then the printer would not connect
  • If the WiFi is a private network, is it a 2.4GHz network or a 5GHz network?
    • The 'HP DeskJet 3634 All-in-One Printer' is compatible only with the 2.4GHz network and would not connect to the 5GHz network. Check specifications from this link.

 

There is another way to use the Printer with your MAC Book Pro with a feature called 'WiFi Direct' if connecting through a local Wi-Fi network is not an option.

 

Follow the steps on this video link to connect and print from MAC computer using Wi-Fi Direct.
