I can't get past the message "Do you want to make HP Smart better by sharing user data?"

I can't get past the message "Do you want to help make HP Smart better by sharing user data?". Whether I click on "Yes" or "No". it goes onto "connecting" page and then a page asking me to sign in (even if I have already signed in) and then I got the "Do you want to help.....?" page. Whatever I do I can't get to the normal features to allow me to print or scan. Any ideas (and yes, I've turned everything off and on again)

I have the same issue and unable to use the device's scanning facility without the app.

I had the same issue.  I had to uninstall from APPS & FEATURES and then redownload from the APP STORE and reinstall.

Grab the updated app through the Windows 10 App Store. Worked for me just now after updating.

Thanks for the advice but I've downloaded the HP app from the Windows store and it's exactly the same. There's nothing in the store to tell me that the app that comes up first is the newest one so I've assumed it is. If there's any special term I should search for other than HP please let me know.
