I can't install back my printer

I have a HP Photosmart C4780 but it won't get registered on my account.

So, I had trouble with blurred printing and was following the answer to this post : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/Blurred-printing/td-p/66718...

Now I can't install back the printer, it won't be recognized by windows even by manual installation. It won't install on the control pannel either.

I'm connected in USB and I know it can works because before a few hours it worked.

I can't use the driver disk to install the printer as it was lost when I moved.

@Fv6, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

This model printer is not compatible with the HP Smart app due to its age and there is no driver available on the HP Support site.

Install the printer using Windows built-in driver for printing. (Skip if you are able to print)

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing. Use Deskjet 990c driver if your printer is not listed.

Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help.

Note: No software is available for scanning. You may use MS paint.

Use a compatible scanning app to scan.

HP Scan and Capture app: Use this free app available from the Microsoft Store to scan photos or documents.

Go to Installing and Using HP Scan and Capture (Windows 10) for more information.

Windows Scan app: Use this Windows app to scan from most HP all-in-one printers.

Search Windows for Scan, and then click the Scan app in the list of results.

Windows Fax and Scan: Use this pre-installed tool to scan photos and documents.

Search Windows for fax, click Windows Fax and Scan in the list of results, and then click New Scan.

If this does not help, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
