@Kimrholm, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

If you're experiencing difficulties getting your HP ENVY 6455e printer back on the internet, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Check Network Connection:

    • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is operational and that other devices can connect to it. Restart your router if necessary.
  2. Reconnect the Printer:

    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network Setup menu.
    • Select Wireless Setup Wizard to scan for available networks.
    • Choose your network and enter the Wi-Fi password to connect.
  3. Printer Restart:

    • Turn off your printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help resolve temporary connectivity issues.
  4. Update Printer Firmware:

    • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Check for updates through the printer menu or via the HP Smart app on a mobile device.
  5. HP Smart App:

    • Use the HP Smart app to reconfigure your wireless settings. The app can guide you through connecting the printer to your network.
  6. Check Firewall Settings:

    • Make sure that firewall settings on your computer or network aren’t blocking the printer from connecting to the internet.
  7. Router Settings:

    • Ensure that 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band is enabled on your router, as many printers do not support the 5GHz band.
    • Verify that there are no MAC address filtering settings on your router that could block the printer.
  8. Reset Network Settings:

    • Reset your printer’s network settings to default and try reconnecting. This option is usually available in the network settings menu of the printer.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
