GT 5820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have my GT 5820 for a while now but I'm only using it on wired printing since I have never been able to set up wireless printing. Whenever I try to set it up using the HP Smart App, it asks me for a password which I never set before or I may have forgotten, the message is "a custom password has been set for your printer 5820, Enter the password to access the printer web interface". Is there any way to reset all settings to remove this password? or could you provide me all the default passwords for my printer?

I tried accessing the IP address from the wifi direct and to reset everything to default settings, but there's another unknown username password request too

Welcome to the HP support community.

Follow these steps to reset the EWS page password.

Restore Network Defaults to factory settings:

Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

Connect the printer again to the WiFi network.

Login to the EWS page with the default credentials and change the password.

Username: admin

Password: "leave it blank"

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several other.

Cheers.
