When I want to login HP Smart app, it will loop for several seconds and then return to HP Smart app starting window.  Now, I cant fax to anyone.

I understand you are facing an issue using HP Smart App with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

To assist better:

  • I would like to know if you have tried using HP Smart on your Phone or any other device?
  • Do you get any error messages while using HP Smart?
  • From when did the issue begin?
  • Are you trying to use HP Mobile Fax?

While you respond to that, please go ahead and uninstall HP Smart and re-install.

 

  • Uninstall the app from your Windows 10 device through the All Apps list.
  • In Windows, search for and open Apps & features.

Searching for Apps & features

  • Click HP Smart in the list of apps, and then click Uninstall.

Uninstalling HP Smart app

 

  • Once the uninstallation is complete please update Windows
  • select Start Settings Windows Update .
  • Once Windows OS is up to date, please go ahead and install HP Smart.
  • Check if you are able to fax.

  • I would like to know if you have tried using HP Smart on your Phone or any other device?  I can use HP Smart on IPhone and Mac but not Windows

Not only mobile fax.  I cant login HP Smart app.  I m also using HP Windows notebook

Thank you for your response, as you mentioned it is working fine on your Mac, but not on your Windows Pc, sometimes it could be a permission issue.
