Hi @Optimum11 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've installed the HP DeskJet 2130 software on your Windows 10 laptop, but the application is not opening, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve software-related issues. Close all applications, restart your computer, and then try opening the HP DeskJet 2130 software again.

Check for Updates: Ensure that your operating system and the HP DeskJet 2130 software are up to date. Install any available Windows updates, and check the HP website for updated drivers and software for your printer model.

Compatibility Mode: Try running the software in compatibility mode. Right-click on the software shortcut or executable file, choose "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select an earlier version of Windows (e.g., Windows 7 or Windows 8). Click "Apply" and then try opening the software again.

Run as Administrator: Right-click on the HP DeskJet 2130 software shortcut and select "Run as administrator." This ensures that the program has the necessary permissions to run properly.

Reinstall the Software: Uninstall the HP DeskJet 2130 software from your computer, restart the computer, and then reinstall the software. Make sure to follow the installation instructions carefully.

Check for Conflicts: Other software or security applications on your computer could be conflicting with the HP software. Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software and see if the HP DeskJet 2130 software opens. If it does, you may need to adjust the settings of your security software to allow the HP software to run.

Event Viewer: Check the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages related to the HP DeskJet 2130 software. Look for entries under "Application" or "System" that correspond to the time you tried to open the software. This might provide more information about the cause of the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
