HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdn

I got this printer from a friend. she used it. I am having trouble connected it to wifi. I have the MAC BOOK AIR. nothing is connecting. I tried to do a reset it still didn't work. is there a hard/factory reset I can try

Yes, there is a way to perform a factory reset on the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdn. Here's how you can do it.

 

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the lower-left corner of the touchscreen while you turn on the printer. Keep holding the corner until the "Permanent storage init." message appears on the screen.
  3. Release the corner of the touchscreen. The printer will perform a factory reset and then restart.

 

After the factory reset, you'll need to set up the printer again, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure your Wi-Fi network is available and the password is correct when you go through the setup process.
