I got this printer from a friend. she used it. I am having trouble connected it to wifi. I have the MAC BOOK AIR. nothing is connecting. I tried to do a reset it still didn't work. is there a hard/factory reset I can try

Yes, there is a way to perform a factory reset on the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdn. Here's how you can do it.
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the lower-left corner of the touchscreen while you turn on the printer. Keep holding the corner until the "Permanent storage init." message appears on the screen.
- Release the corner of the touchscreen. The printer will perform a factory reset and then restart.
After the factory reset, you'll need to set up the printer again, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure your Wi-Fi network is available and the password is correct when you go through the setup process.
