Hi @MahirTerzi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To perform a factory reset on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw and clear the forgotten password, follow one of these proven methods:

Method 1: Wireless Button Reset

  1. Power on the printer and let it reach the ready state.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button for about 5 seconds until the Attention and Wireless LEDs flash.
  3. This action resets network settings and clears the password, returning the printer to factory defaults.

Method 2: Hidden Factory Reset (for Admin Password)

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the lower right corner of the printer’s control panel (near the touchscreen).
  3. Power on the printer while still holding that corner.
  4. Continue holding until the display shows “Permanent Storage Init”, then release.
  5. The printer will complete the reset and restart, clearing all admin settings, including passwords.

After the Reset:

  • All settings (Wi-Fi, admin password, configurations) will return to factory state.
  • You will need to reconfigure the network, scan/email settings, and any custom preferences.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
