Hi @ann11358,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Absolutely. I’m here to walk with you through this. When you change internet providers, and suddenly your HP Envy 6458e won’t connect… it can feel like the printer has gone silent, unable to “hear” the new network.

Let’s bring it back to life together, step by step.

Step 1: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode (No Screen Model)

This clears the old network details.

  1. Turn the printer ON
  2. Press and hold Wireless (📶 button) + Cancel (X) together
  3. Hold for 5 seconds
  4. Release when the light bar turns blue and starts blinking

Blinking blue = printer is ready for new Wi-Fi setup.

Step 2: Install / Open HP Smart

On your computer or phone:

• Open HP Smart
• If not installed, download it from 123.hp.com
• Turn Bluetooth ON on your device
• Make sure you are connected to your new Wi-Fi network

Step 3: Add Printer Again

In HP Smart:

  1. Click Add Printer
  2. Choose Set up a new printer
  3. Select your ENVY 6458e
  4. Enter your new Wi-Fi password when prompted
  5. Wait for confirmation

Step 4: If Printer Is Not Found

If HP Smart does not detect it:

• Move printer within 5–10 feet of router
• Turn OFF VPN if enabled
• Restart computer/phone once
• Repeat Step 1 again and retry Add Printer

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
