Pull the plug, wait one minute, then reconnect. And power up. If it still fails to start properly then the next step would be to perform a partial clean from the preboot menu, which resets the operating system.  Be aware that will clear all settings.

The partial clean got me past the initialing problem; it still went there but only for a minute.
