Product: Officejet Pro 6975

I replaced the ink on my printer. First I get a message that there is a paper jam even though there is not one. Now, it says Printer Failure and does not allow anything else to happen. I have attempted to unplug/plug back in etc......

 

Please help

Hi @Giants89

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

Let's try these steps -

 

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds. 

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
