Hi @Jimgl,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To address the issue of your HP Officejet Pro 9135e printer frequently going offline, here are a few steps you can follow:
Basic Troubleshooting: Begin by turning off your printer and disconnecting it from the power supply. Also, restart the device you're printing from and your internet router. After restarting, turn the printer back on and try printing again. Ensure that both the printer and the device you're printing from are connected to the same network.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP offers a tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor which can help diagnose and resolve printing and connectivity issues. Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor, select your printer in the tool, and follow the prompts. This tool can also help you to set your printer as the default printer and update it if necessary.
Network Power Drain: Perform a network power drain by turning off all devices connected to your network, including the PC, smartphones, modem, and router. After waiting for 2-3 minutes, turn them back on in the order of modem, router, and then the devices. This can help refresh your network connection.
Assign a Manual IP Address and Use the Wireless Setup Wizard: Assigning a manual IP address to your printer can stabilize its connection. You can find the printer's IP address from the Network Configuration Report and use it to access the printer's control panel through a web browser. In the printer's web interface, navigate to the Networking tab and set a manual IP. Additionally, running the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer's control panel can help reconnect the printer to your network.
Reset Printer's Network Settings: If the printer still goes offline, try resetting its network settings to default. This can be done from the printer's control panel. After resetting, you will need to reconnect the printer to your network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
