I have an hp2600 series all in one printer. I had it connected to wifi without problems. I had to get a new wifi box and now have new network and password names. How do I reconnect to the new set up? I have done a factory reset, but the new updated HP app doesn’t recognize my device. Please advise.

@Praternator, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Make sure the printer is actually in Setup Mode

You should see the blue Wi-Fi light blinking.
If it is solid or off:

Restore Wi-Fi setup mode again:

Hold Wireless Button + Cancel Button together for 5 seconds

The blue wireless light should start blinking → this means the printer is ready to be added to Wi-Fi

Connect using Wi-Fi Setup via WPS (fastest way)

If your new router has a WPS button:

Press the WPS button on the router (it will usually blink for 2 minutes)

On the printer, press the Wireless Button once

Wait 1–2 minutes

The blue light should turn solid → this means the printer is now on the new network

After that, the HP App will immediately detect it again.

If your router does NOT have WPS — use Wi-Fi Direct to add the printer

You’ll connect directly to the printer once, then give it your new Wi-Fi name + password.

A. Print the Wi-Fi Direct details

Press Information Button (i) → it prints a page
Look for:
Wi-Fi Direct Name (HP-Setup-2600-…)
Password

B. Connect your phone or laptop to that Wi-Fi Direct signal

On the device you're using:

Open Wi-Fi

Connect to HP-Setup-2600-xxxx

Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password from the printou

C. Open the HP App

Now the app will see the printer because you are directly connected to it.

D. Use the app to enter your new Wi-Fi network name + password

The app will send the Wi-Fi information to the printer.
When successful → the blue light becomes solid.

Reconnect your phone/computer to your normal home Wi-Fi.

Add the Printer Back to Your Devices

Once the blue light is solid:

Open HP App → Tap Add Printer

Windows → Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers/Scanners → Add Device

It should show up instantly now.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
