I have a problem with my HP Officejet 5740 (it prints but produces blank pages when copying) I have spent hours attempting to get support from HP both online (the printer's serial number is not accepted) and by searching for a HP Support phone number which is not available or well hidden. I have also tried all the automated repair/fix programs to no avail.

Hi Elohi, thank for your time and effort in replying to my problem. Yes I have installed the latest drivers and firmware. No, I am not using genuine HP ink and this has not proved to be problem in the years that I have had the machine. The printer prints print jobs sent from the computer and generates a perfect test print, it just does not (recently) print copies - it just sounds like it is printing but just generates a blank page. I have taken to scanning documents and printing them that way to generate a copy.
Cheers
