The printer itself does not maintain or manage a print queue.
Jobs are sent to the printer and then turned over to whatever device (computer, tablet, phone) for whatever (if any) print queue management that is available on the device that submitted the job to the printer.
What you can do depends on the Printer model, the Operating System, the condition of the job in question, and the reason for the need to "cancel" the job.
Windows provides robust Print Queue and Print Services management.
One of the available options is "Cancel" -- this works as long as the print queue is healthy and the job is not stuck.
(Other actions might be necessary to clear "stuck" jobs -- Reference: HP Printers - Print jobs stuck in print queue
----------------------------------------------------
HP Smart - Windows / Mobile - might provide a simple and temporary "Recent jobs" Activity queue on the device that sent the print job.
Example > HP Smart - Windows > Horizontal "hamburger" Bar menu (upper left corner) > Activity
----------------------------------------------------
HP Smart - Mobile - Printer Dependent - Job stuck in "Private Pickup" (part of Print Anywhere)
To access the print queue from iOS, Open the App Switcher:
- On an iPhone with Face ID: Swipe up from the bottom edge and pause in the center of the screen.
- On an iPhone with a Home button: Double-click the Home button.
Next, tap Print Center.
The badge on the icon shows how many documents are in the queue.
To cancel a print job, select it in Print Center, then tap Cancel Printing.
