I have an HP printer and wants to connect remotely to the laptop
The printer was connect to a different wifi and Now i can't connect to the new network.

 

I can't scan or print from the laptop

To resolve the issue of connecting your HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw printer to a new network and enabling remote scanning and printing from your laptop, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Restart the Printer

  1. Power off the printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer.
  2. Wait for a few seconds: Allow the printer to completely shut down.
  3. Power on the printer: Press the power button again to turn on the printer.

Step 2: Reset Network Settings

If your printer was connected to a different Wi-Fi network, you need to reset its network settings to connect it to the new Wi-Fi network.

  1. Access the control panel: Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to network settings.
  2. Reset network settings: Select the option to reset network settings to restore default network configuration.

Step 3: Connect Printer to New Wi-Fi Network

Reconnect the printer to the new Wi-Fi network:

  1. On the printer control panel: Navigate to Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Select your new Wi-Fi network: Choose the new network from the list.
  3. Enter network password: Type in the Wi-Fi password to connect the printer to the new network.

Step 4: Update Printer Settings on Laptop

Update the printer settings on your laptop to reflect the new network configuration:

  1. Open HP Smart app: Launch the HP Smart app on your laptop. If not installed, download it from the official HP website.
  2. Add a new printer: Select the option to add a new printer.
  3. Follow setup wizard: Follow the instructions to detect and add the printer on the new network.
  4. Test print and scan: Try printing a document and scanning to ensure the new configuration works.
