Hi @Wamoy11,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to update the drivers for macOS Catalina 10.15.7, you can use HP’s built-in drivers for many printers, including the HP Smart Tank 515. Here’s how to set up your printer:
Download and Install HP Smart App:
- Go to the HP Smart app page on the Mac App Store.
- Download and install the HP Smart app.
Add the Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your HP Smart Tank 515 printer.
Install Printer Drivers Manually (if needed):
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Search for “HP Smart Tank 515” and select your printer model.
- Download the driver that matches macOS Catalina 10.15.
- Follow the installation instructions provided.
Connect the Printer to Your MacBook:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your MacBook.
- In the HP Smart app, you should see your printer listed. Select it and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
If the HP Smart app does not support your printer model directly, you can use the Apple AirPrint feature. Here’s how:
- Add Printer Using AirPrint:
- Go to “System Preferences” > “Printers & Scanners.”
- Click the “+” button to add a printer.
- Your HP Smart Tank 515 should appear in the list if it is connected to the same network. Select it and click “Add.”

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
