HP ENVY 6032
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently purchased an hp ENVY 6032 hp printer which I have installed on my hp windows 7 home premium (HP  p6313uk 64 bit).  I think I have downloaded the software properly using the USB cable from my previous  hp printer (hp 3630 series) unfortunately I can find no desktop icon to access the software! Should there be an icon to access the software? Or should I use the print command on the word processor program? Another problem is that when I use Apache Open Office or Microsoft word it takes 40 seconds before the document prints which is very slow!

I would appreciate any help because my technical ability is not very high,

Than you

Terry

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  There should have been a desktop icon for HP Printer Assistant and HP Scan.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-6000-all-in-one-printer-series/29...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Greenturtle,

Thank you for trying to help but I am afraid your advice is just too complicated for me to understand. I did click on the link you provided but I received the error message that 'this software does not support this version of windows. Please search on hp.com for the appropriate software for your product' Which I am about to try!

I am afraid I am a 75 year old technoprat that needs to be told exactly what links to click on and then continue needing to be told what to do next! It is difficcult for anyone to understand my confusion with computers. My previous printer was, in effect, plug and play (hp 3600series , I think) so why hp have made this one so complicated is beyond me. If you can offer my any more help I will gratefully accept it.

Best wishes,

Oberks
