After is it installed, HP Smart is added to the Windows Start menu
An HP Smart shortcut icon can be added to the Taskbar and / or the Desktop

Add HP Smart Shortcut to Desktop
Start (Menu) > All Apps
Search for the app you want or Scroll down -
Find, Left-Click-Press and Hold the app you want to place on the Desktop
Drag the app to the Desktop and Release
Add the application to the Taskbar
Start (Menu) > All Apps
Search for the app you want or Scroll down -
Right-Click on the app > Add to Taskbar
