I have an HP INKJET PRINTER with the control panel. Well, I dropped one of the screws and can't reattach the wire inside. I've purchased every size that I can think of, and NONE of them fit.

Can someone please tell me what size screw does this control panel take?

Most of the hardware HP uses is typically metric not imperial. That said, they only use may 2 different screws. The one on the front that holds the left side panel in place should be the same. Try it and if it fits, take that as a sample to a hardware store or check for a local printer repair depot and maybe they have spares. There are also people on Ebay selling bags of assorted printer screws but that is likely an expensive way to get one screw.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I tried the other screw that one does not fit. It would be nice if they included screw sizes in the manual. That onescrew is causing such a headache. I'm going to try BEST Buy "Geek Squad" tomorrow and see if they can help me. At the least give me the size.

Can you show a picture of where this screw is located? Unless it is a self-tapping plastic screw most screws are the same thread, though some are black and some are zinc or chrome.

I'm inserting pictures, so you can see what I'm talking about.

Ok, that makes this a little clearer. That screw should be an M3 x 4mm machine screw. It is the same screw used on 2.5" hard drives. That should make it easier for a computer store to help you.

Hi, unfortunately that wasn't it either. I'm totally lost with this. Atp it's a conversation piece, nothing more. I have tried everything.
