@AlexLancaster, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble setting up your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e on both Mac and Windows. Let's walk through the steps to get you up and running smoothly.

For Windows – PIN Number Issue

If you're getting to the PIN entry screen and it says the PIN is incorrect, here’s what to do:

Find the correct WPS PIN:

  • On the printer control panel, tap the Wi-Fi icon or go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
  • Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup > Display PIN.
  • A WPS PIN will appear on the screen. This PIN is valid for only 90 seconds, so enter it quickly on your PC.

Use HP Smart App for easier setup:

  • Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.

Tip: If the PIN still fails, restart both your printer and PC, and try again. Also, ensure your PC is on the same Wi-Fi network.

For macOS – Printer Not Showing Up

If your Mac isn’t detecting the printer, try the following:

Reset the printing system:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and select Reset printing system.
  • Reboot your Mac.

Install HP Smart for Mac:

  • Download it from the Mac App Store.
  • Open the app and follow the prompts to detect and set up your printer.

Ensure your printer is on the same Wi-Fi network:

  • On the printer, go to Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard and connect to your Wi-Fi.
  • Then retry the setup in HP Smart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
