Hi @Stary45,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are facing issues with the HP smart app.

Have you made any changes to your software or OS?

Try updating Firmware and uninstall and reinstall the HP smart app.

If that does not help.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer-related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Ive tried these steps and deleted all the related hp drivers and then tried again to download that hp app from the microsoft store and its getting an error again. By the way, this computer is a desktop with ethernet and it was working before on the hp smart app and the hp smart app that I tried to download still got the same error. This is windows 11 and I don't know how to remove that hp printer even though I did remove the driver. I did update the firmware and same error.Screenshot 2023-12-11 112559.png

I've also had problems downloading things from the Microsoft store. What usually works for me is going into the windows settings and changing the region. I don't know all the regions that are broken, but setting the region to United States works for me.

My setting is Canada and maybe I can try changing the microsoft store to USA to see if that fixes the problem.

I've tried changing to us region and restart and then tried downloading that app and it still got an error.
