HP OfficeJet 9012e All-in-One Printer

I believe that I am having trouble downloading the software. I bought a HP OfficeJet 9010e series printer. I set it up and it was working fine. It stopped working so I returned it and the company sent me a new replacement printer. The new printer is the exact same printer as the broken one. I am having trouble setting up the new one. Do I need to uninstall the old printer before the new one can be installed? If so, how do I do that?

That would be a great idea to uninstall the old printer, remove it from an account, and add a new one.
