I need technical support for an HP Smart Tank 585 on Windows 11.
I have two separate problems:
- When printing large PDF documents (around 100 pages) over Wi-Fi, the printer produces corrupted output: parts of pages are missing and pages are printed only partially.
- I tried to switch to USB to avoid the Wi-Fi printing problem. Windows detects the USB device as “Smart Tank 580-590 series”, but Device Manager shows:
“The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.”
The HP setup application cannot detect the printer when it is connected via USB, so it cannot install the USB driver.
The USB connection itself is detected by Windows. The printer appears/disappears in Device Manager when I connect/disconnect the USB cable.
I need a working Windows 11 driver for USB printing, preferably an INF/driver package that can be installed manually, without HP Smart/Easy Start.
I also need to understand why large PDF documents are corrupted when printing over Wi-Fi.
Could you please provide the correct driver and help me resolve these issues?
There is also another serious issue with the HP software. When I install the HP App, it reports that the application is not available because I am located in an “embargoed country”.
I am located in Cyprus, which is an EU member state. I find it unacceptable that an HP product purchased and used in Cyprus is being restricted by the HP software on the basis of my location.
