I lost my original installation CD. I tried the 800 number for support but couldn't get anyone live. I've also spent hours trying to find how to order one on line with no luck. I've also tried to download the software but there are errors. HP Smart says the printer is offline, but it's not. Using ethernet with a USB cable. It worked fine but all of a sudden will not display the Solution Center where I can choose functions. That is what I want to get back. The printer IS connected and will print, etc using the display screen.

Please tell me how to order a new disk. thanks

Hi,

I understand where I am now. I did load the scan & capture software and it works. I miss the Solution Center though. I can manage with it as it is now.

That didn't work. How can I buy a new installation disk from HP?

Hi,

You cannot buy a new disk installation from HP, the Officejet 4500 was manufactured over 10 years ago.

 

Also what didn't work? did you review the information in the link?

HP Solution Center no longer work due to Flash retirement, this will not change with any disk or software installation, you may achieve some tasks with some workarounds

HP Solution Center does not work when Flash software is not active on your system. Because Flash is no longer supported by the industry, HP Solution Center is also no longer supported.
