HP Color LasetJet MFP m281cdw

HP Color LasetJet MFP m281cdw   Administrative Password not working.  I need to reset printer.   Unable to access wifi networks to chose new network as my current internet wifi is being discontinued.   Works fine if I use USB cable.   I need to install the new T-Mobile 5G network to the printer but am unable to disengage the old network likely due to not having the correct Administrative password for my printer.

I am quite experience with computers and printers but this one completely stumps me.   It is a used printer that had a nick in the scanner glass for autoscan so I got it cheap.   Current network is Century Link router linked wirelessly to the above mentioned printer.

Works great but now unable to add a different wifi network thus forcing me to use only USB (very inconvenient due to desk space and distance from my computer. Thanks in advance.

How does one actually see a reply to an issues.   Several others have asked the same or very similar question and received a reply.   But I have never been able to access an actual reply.   I see that a number of others have the same complain/issues.   HOW do I see responses?   Seems a shame to have people repeating the same question with no way to view the SOLUTION that was sent out to at least the original poster.    HELP PLEASE.

Hi @roisenp,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I understand that you reset your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw.

Let's go through a few steps listed below:

1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe until the Setup menu displays. Touch the Setup icon to open the menu.

2. Scroll to and select the Service menu.

3. Scroll to and select Restore Defaults, and then touch OK. The printer automatically restarts.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
