Other documentation I've seen suggests that you  need to create an admin account, then you can create a password for the Guest user.

Can you clarify your situation a little further please. Are these users on the same network and you are trying to restrict access to printing, or are you trying to disable the control panel on the printer? Or are you trying to restrict access to a printing through E-print?

The "Guest" user is a specific default user that can be called generically. Currently, I have a rogue print job that comes in from some unknown source and takes advantage of that userid. No E-print. No control panel.

Thank you for clarifying. I do not have this particular model in front of me, but the location may be similar enough to this model to guide you. You will need to access the EWS by typing the IP address into a browser address bar.

At the bottom of the screen you will need to configure users so that they can print, otherwise everyone will be unable to print.

There are two default users for HP printers. Administrator and Guest. I am trying to block access for the Guest user. My goal is to block the default Guest user with whatever methods will work.

Thank you for your interest in my situation.
