I removed HP Smart Printing as a printer option in error.  How do I get it back?

For those reading

HP Smart Printing is a clever printing queue option that understands the concept of Presets / Custom Shortcuts, supports different printers and the printer software installed on your system, and eliminates conflict errors by only allowing supported combinations of settings in the current job.

 

Start with the easier option --

 

It might be enough to simply uninstall / reinstall the HP Smart app.

What?

HP Smart Printing is added during the installation of HP Smart.

 

Uninstall the HP Smart App from Settings > Apps > Installed Apps or Apps and Features

 

Restart the computer and log in

 

“Get” a new copy of the HP Smart application from the Microsoft Store
