HP Deskjet 2622 All-in-One Printer

I accidentally removed my printer as a device from the Devices and Printers settings. I have it connected to my laptop using a USB connection. The laptop detects the printer, allows the printer to print a Wi-Fi Direct Pin, but cannot use it as the status shows up as "Driver is unavailable". When I try to print a status report, the printer works also.

 

I have tried to download and run the drivers listed here, but they do not detect the printer, so I cannot add the printer by the "existing connected printer" or "new USB printer" options. They also do not detect the printer through a wireless setup.

 

The printer was working perfectly on a USB connection before I removed it from my devices.

Hi @cream_waffle  

You may need to uninstall printer removing from Print Server properties and then install again.

 

1. Please follow steps from the next video:

Open Windows > Settings > in search bar write "Print server properties" and open, then remove HP Deskjet printer references.

 

2.  Restart your computer.

 

3.  Then install again printer driver:

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted as Solution when question is answered.
