HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have done multiple things to get my printer working again after my upgrade to windows 11. None have worked. I can not even get the latest firmware from HP website as the status is 'Not applicable'. I have uninstalled HP smart and disconnetted and reinstalled with no luck.

Hi @ketch1 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer after upgrading to Windows 11, here are steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer.
  • If you're using a USB connection, try using a different USB port on your computer.
  • If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP official website, locate your printer model, and download the latest drivers compatible with Windows 11.

Windows Update:

  • Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, updates may include fixes for hardware compatibility issues.

Printer Troubleshooter:

  • Run the built-in Windows Printer Troubleshooter to diagnose and fix common printer problems. You can find this in the Settings app under "System" > "Troubleshoot" > "Additional troubleshooters."

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from the HP website. This tool can identify and fix common printing problems.

Firewall and Security Software:

  • Check your firewall or antivirus settings to ensure they are not blocking communication between your computer and the printer.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Uninstall the printer software completely from your computer and then reinstall it.

Check Printer Status:

  • On your computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Make sure your printer is set as the default printer.

Reset Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, disconnect it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, reconnect and turn it back on. This can help reset the printer's connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
