I want to download driver for HP Deskjet F4583 on Mac OS big sur. the driver found on the HP site needs updates to work on Mac OS big sur.

I understand you are not able to print in color from your Mac. This is because of the printer driver. Due to its age, there are no drivers available for this printer to work on macOS 11 or later on the HP Support site.

 

This printer is not AirPrint compatible too.

However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

 

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
