Hi @MsDee896,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
For your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 e-All-in-One Printer, if you're trying to print on 7" x 9.25" pages but the printer is not allowing custom print sizes, several issues could be the cause.
Driver Limitations: Some printer drivers do not fully support custom paper sizes, even if the printer technically has the capability. Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed from the HP website.
Custom Size Setup: If the custom size option is available but not working:
- In Windows, go to Devices and Printers > Printer Properties > Printing Preferences, and then select the Custom size option.
- In MacOS, try selecting the custom paper size through Page Setup or Print dialog, using the Manage Custom Sizes feature.
Software Compatibility: The software you’re printing from may not fully support custom sizes or may override the printer settings. Try printing from a different application, like Adobe Reader for PDFs, which generally handles custom sizes well.
Paper Tray Settings: Ensure the printer's paper tray can handle custom paper sizes. If the tray isn't set to recognize the custom size, the printer may default to the nearest supported size. Check the paper size setting on the physical printer display panel if applicable.
Firmware Update: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause issues with printing custom sizes. Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date.
Try adjusting the paper size settings again through your print driver or printer setup, and test from a program that supports custom page sizes.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
