I am also experiencing printing issues since Installing IOS11 on our iPad Pro’s.

Printer is Officejet 8500 Pro.

always used the HP Smart app but also tried Air print and no issues prior to IOS11. Since IOS 11 I have the same issue as others on this forum. where I get small prints instead of the full A4.

I tried all the suggested resolutions suggested in this but nothing resolves the issue.

It seems to only impact printing from Email and Safari Browser and Chrome browser

Tested printing documents from Word, Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint  and photos and all these print correctly as do test prints from within the HP Smart app.

I have also tested using AirPrinter App and this too gives the same results.

I can find no paper size selection within HP Smart App as it appears that the app dies not know the paper size. Or is this just the app need updating to be compatible with IOS 11.

any thoughts or suggestions.:smileymad:

After all my testing and investigation together with HP it is now clearly an incompatibility issue.

the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 is not Airptint enabled and this is possibly why IOS does not print correctly from email or browsers. Works well with MS Apps, Word, Excel , PowerPoint and also printing photos and printing from Adobe

HP, When will this be fixed? This is beyond sad from a company that mentioned in september that the problem would be fixed soon. I can't use my printer until it is sorted out. Updates come very slowly and nothing really gets sorted. How about updating the customers, especially ones like me that has always purchased HP products. If this keeps up, I will be buying other company products

Yes.....I have the same problem....cannot print from my updated new IPad or iPhone.....silly little text whatever I try.

I will have to buy a new printer.......but why should I...?

BUT I can print from an old iPad 2 that I have but I don’t want to use this.

It’s ridiculous that HP can’t fix this....I will NEVER buy any of their products again EVER.....

I have an AirPrint HP 5510 which I bought several years ago and particularly chose this as it was compatible for printing everything I wanted on my iPad 2 but seems it does not support my new IPad or my Iphone 7......

so I have no choice except buy a new one but obviously not HP.
