Hi @Pjinfo

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

As of now, HP has not released a dedicated driver update for the LaserJet Pro M15w that officially supports macOS 26.0.1 (Tahoe). However, the printer remains compatible via AirPrint, which allows basic printing without installing HP-specific drivers.

Current Compatibility Status for HP LaserJet Pro M15w on macOS Tahoe

AirPrint Support

  • The HP LaserJet Pro M15w supports AirPrint, which is fully compatible with macOS 26.0.1 Tahoe.
  • You can add the printer via System Settings > Printers & Scanners, and macOS will use AirPrint automatically.
  • This allows basic printing, but advanced features like toner level monitoring or custom print settings may be limited.

No Dedicated HP Driver for macOS 26.0.1

  • HP’s official driver page for the M15w does not list macOS 26.0.1 Tahoe as a supported operating system.
  • The last available macOS-specific driver package was designed for macOS 10.15 Catalina and earlier, and may not install or function correctly on newer systems.

Recommended Setup Steps

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Use the HP Smart app on iOS or another device to connect the printer to your network.
  • Once connected, macOS should detect it automatically via AirPrint.

Add the Printer in macOS

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
  • Click Add Printer
  • Select the M15w from the list and confirm that AirPrint is selected as the driver

Test Print Functionality

  • Print a test page to confirm connectivity
  • If needed, adjust print settings manually within the print dialog

What to Watch For

  • Firmware Updates: HP may release firmware updates that improve compatibility with newer macOS versions. Check the HP support page periodically.
  • HP Smart App Limitations: The macOS version of HP Smart may not expose all features for AirPrint-only devices.
