Hi @Angela1972-_,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To find the IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) address of your HP printer, you can follow these steps.
Using the Printer's Control Panel
- Step 1: Go to the printer's menu.
- Step 2: Find the Network Settings or Wireless Settings option (depending on the model).
- Step 3: Look for Network Summary or Print Network Configuration Page. Print this page to get detailed network information.
- Step 4: On the Network Configuration page, find the IPP or IP Address (usually under the TCP/IP section).
Using the HP Smart App
- Step 1: Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Step 2: Click on your printer to open the printer's status.
- Step 3: Navigate to the Network Information section, where the IPP address should be displayed along with the IP address.
Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Step 1: Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as the printer.
- Step 2: Enter the printer’s IP address (you can find this by printing the network configuration page or checking through the HP Smart app).
- Step 3: After accessing the printer’s Embedded Web Server, go to the Networking tab and look for IPP under the protocol settings.
If you can't locate the IPP specifically, the standard IP address of your printer (used for network connection) often serves for IPP connections in most cases.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
