How do I get to place the printer icon on the  desktop?

@Bayo-Ray, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Are you using a MAC or a Win PC?

 

Do you want the printer software icon to be on the desktop screen or just the printer icon?

The difference is, the software will have several features like scan, check ink levels, perform maintenance. But just the printer icon, you may click on it to check the print queue.
