My HP Envy Photo 7800 was continually showing offline and I have been unable to print. I tried deleting the printer in order to reload and now the printer is not showing at all.

Hi @Sauzabob,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy Photo 7800 series printer is not showing up at all after you deleted it and it was showing as offline, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Power and Connection
- Ensure the Printer is Powered On: Make sure your printer is turned on and properly connected to a power source.
- Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer’s display for any error messages or warnings.
2. Verify Network Connection
- Check Network Connection: Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer. If it’s connected via Wi-Fi, ensure the Wi-Fi is working properly and that the printer is connected to your network.
- Reconnect to Network: If necessary, reconnect your printer to the Wi-Fi network using the printer’s control panel.
3. Restart Devices
- Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Restart Computer: Reboot your computer to refresh its network settings.
4. Reinstall Printer Software
- Download Latest Software: Go to the HP Support website and download the latest driver and software for your HP Envy Photo 7800 series.
- Install Software: Run the installation file and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the printer software. This process will guide you through setting up the printer again.
5. Add the Printer Manually
On Windows:
- Go to “Settings” > “Devices” > “Printers & scanners”.
- Click “Add a printer or scanner”.
- If your printer doesn’t appear, click on “The printer that I want isn’t listed”.
- Select “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname” or “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” and follow the prompts.
6. Check Printer Status and Troubleshoot
- Printer Status: Ensure that the printer is not set to “Offline” or “Pause Printing” mode. This can be checked in the printer settings on your computer.
- Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP offers a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor which can help diagnose and fix issues with printers. You can download it from the HP website.
7. Check Firewall and Security Settings
- Firewall Settings: Sometimes, a firewall or security software might block the printer’s connection. Check your firewall settings to make sure the printer is allowed to communicate with your computer.
8. Reset Printer Network Settings
- Reset Network Settings: If you’re still having trouble, you can reset the network settings on your printer to clear any saved network configurations and reconnect it to your network. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to reset network settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day
